Type Projects

This poster was created as an exploration typography and its ability to communicate meaning without relying on imagery. The design challenge was to create a quote poster using only type, playing with layout, scale, hierarchy, and rhythm to convey a message in a bold, impactful way. I started by selecting ten possible quotes for the poster, I then funneled that down to three quotes, and then finely to my favorite quote out of all those. After that I collected my inspiration to get my head wrapped around the concept. I continued by creating a sketch and then assembling the poster. Through experimentation with alignment, spacing, distortion, and layering, I transformed the text into a visual form that captured the tone of the quote. This project strengthened my understanding of typographic principles and visual balance.
